Congratulations to the Upside Boys and Girls team!!! They did a great job during the championship game. Good job boys for carrying on the legacy winning 4 consecutive years and good job to the girls for winning back the championships.

Thank you to those who helped coach the teams, John, Ken, and G. Also, thank you David Lim for being the coordinator of Upside flag football. Lastly, thank you players for fighting hard and taking part!

KFC Turkeybowl Championships!
Both Upside boys and girls have made the championship game of the KFC Turkeybowl. Both the boys and the girls fought hard against the other churches. The boys are 5-0 and will be playing YSKPC for the championships. The girls are 4-1 and will be playing KFC for the championships. Disappointed you missed it? Don’t worry, because of the dark the championships have been rescheduled for tomorrow at Rocky Run at 3:30!!! Come out and watch!!

When it comes to Thanksgiving, we hear a lot about being thankful for all the blessings we have in our lives and sometimes we hear it so often we forget what it means to be genuinely thankful.

This Thanksgiving try to genuinely give thanks to the Lord for not only shelter, food, and water, but his daily blessings.
Things to be thankful for:
1. Jesus-Thank God for sending his own son to save us from our sins and giving us a chance of redemption.
2. Health- Be grateful for God’s healing power and mercy upon yourself and others.
3. Abundant Life- Be thankful for the life you have! There are many who aren’t privileged like you.
4. Friends/Family- Thank God for the people he has provided in your life.
5. Love- Be thankful of God’s undying love for everyone!

Hey everyone!

This entire month all I’ve been looking forward to has been going home! I’m landing Mon night, so excited I can’t wait! But in terms of Genesis stuff, we had a party to celebrate the 10th year anniversary for Genesis on Nov 1st. It was a good turn out, a lot of our supporters and other organizations we work with came out too. We came out in the newspaper, so it was fun seeing that although they TOTALLY wrote all this wrong stuff about Genesis….saying that we help men that are in rehab for drugs and helping them get their lives back together and yada yada yada. Totally not true, we only work with kids….hahaahha!

Upside is holding a Thanksgiving Dinner this Saturday, November 21st at Pender Cafe at 7:00pm!
Yes, the Thanksgiving Dinner is the day of the KCPC turkeybowl tournament but we hope to see everyone come afterward. The parents of Upside have graciously provided Upside with a Thanksgiving dinner. Hope to see everyone come out. Let’s give our thanks for the many blessings from God together as we worship and fellowship together.

*Thanksgiving Dinner has been moved from 8:30pm to 7:00pm*

• KCPC Tournament
  
  • The KCPC turkeybowl tournament begins at 7:00am to 5:00pm at Kilmer Middle School on November 21st.
  • 8100 Wolftrap Rd
    Vienna, VA 22182-5156
  • Turkeybowl players must be at Kilmer Middle School by 6:30am. The team will not be able to check in until all of its members are present.
  • Thanksgiving Dinner- is after Turkeybowl at 7:00pm. Hope to see everyone there!

  • Begins at 7:00am at Franklin Middle School on November 27th ( 3300 Lees Corner Rd Chantilly, VA 20151-3105)
  • Turkeybowl players must be at Franklin Middle School by 7:00am sharp.

Student David Kim’s grandmother passed away recently to be with the Lord. Take the time to say a prayer for him and his family. Please pray for God’s comfort and strength for the family during this difficult time.
